Justien was born and raised in Ghent, Belgium, and studied in Leiden. There she completed her Bachelor and Master in Criminal Law with honors. During her studies, she worked as a research assistant. Afterwards, Justien took a Master’s degree at the University of Amsterdam (international and transnational criminal law) and obtained her degree in Legal Studies at the University of Oxford. Equipped with all this acquired knowledge, she completed internships at Stichting Dutch and Detained and at law firm Nauta Dutilh before joining Summit Advocaten on 1 January 2024.
